I have been working on this blog post for what feels like a lifetime and tonight I decided I need to finish it! Since there is so much information online about the best baby products, I know it can be really overwhelming.

There are so many different products, a lot of things that are very pricey and a lot of things you may not even need or might not work for your baby.

We live in a small house so it’s been important to us to find things that work for our space! We’ve got a one in, one out rule when it comes to bigger items. Thankfully we’ve got lots of friends with kids so have been able to borrow items when needed!

Below are my favourite items! They may not work for you, but I wanted to share the items that have made our new adventure into parenthood a little bit better/easier!

snuggle me organic // This has literally saved us (lol) In those first few weeks when your baby wants nothing but to sleep on you, the snuggle me organic (or doc-a-tot) is an amazing way for your baby to sleep closely next to you, but with you close by to put a hand on them etc. It’s also small + light to pack when travelling or going somewhere overnight when they’re small. Personally, the best thing we got for the babe.

bugaboo bee stroller // I LOVE our stroller and could not be happier with it. One of my besties has the same one and she did the extensive research as to why this was the perfect stroller for an active city Mama. It’s light, compact, easy to store and a smooth ride. It’s really narrow so very easy to get in and out of lots of shops. We don’t have a car so this is literally our car! I take the stroller out every day, take it on the streetcar etc (very easily!)

coffee maker // This has been CLUTCH for parenthood. Pete and I used to do a french press coffee on weekends and just grab something in the hood before work. Now that I am making coffee on the daily, investing in a really good coffee maker has been life changing! We can even get beans because there’s a built in grinder. Also, the smell of fresh coffee in the morning is probably my favourite scent of all time.

solly baby wrap // This is definitely one of my favourite items, and to be completely honest I loved the idea of it, but had a feeling I wouldn’t actually use it. I loved seeing mom’s rock them but also thought they looked kind of complicated and tough to figure out. One morning when Otis was about 3 weeks old, he was fussing and wouldn’t let me put him down and I really wanted a coffee. I watched an insta video on the solly baby account and figured it out! I definitely use it a few times a week when puttering around the house. It’s so nice having the babe right on you and Otie often falls asleep in it too!

nose frida // If you’re the type of person who gets satisfaction from popping a pimple. wait until you get to suck the snot out of your baby’s nose! (lol) So many people talked about the nose frieda and recommended it and it does not disappoint. Such a great way to clear the babe’s nose out!

diaper + wipe caddy // This was especially important in the first few weeks after my c-section. Going upstairs to change Otis was not really an option, so I got this little diaper caddy to keep on the main floor for changes. I filled it with diapers, wipes, a change pad and diaper cream so I didn’t have to climb the stairs with him when I was in a lot of physical pain. Still a nice to have if you have multiple floors/rooms you’re in often.

stroller caddy (itzy ritzy) // I actually got a few different little stroller caddy’s before finding one that actually stayed on the stroller nicely without sliding down etc. I put this on our bugaboo bee and store things inside like; my mommy hook, change purse, a rattle, kleenex, hand sanitizer, wet wipes + a granola bar!

mommy hook // I use this basically every time we’re out. It clips to the stroller handle and you can hang your bags from it while you shop. Since a cart or basket is kind of out of the cards with the stroller, this is a mama must have! :) It’s especially amazing at the grocery store!

reusable baggu bags // I’ve always loved these bags but these are a staple every time this mama leaves the house. i pretty much go out for a walk and to run errands daily and I leave my reusable bags at the bottom of the stroller. I find the baggu ones are perfect for groceries while using the mommy hook!

cocyntal gas drops // My bff who is a mama of two and also a nurse got me this as part of a gift basket for my baby shower. They are safe and work so well! They are tiny, so easy to store and we have them all over the place in case O gets really upset/fussy. I find they are always sold out in stores so I have been ordering them on amazon.

knix nursing bra // I love Knix and wanted to invest in a really good nursing bra that I felt comfortable in but was also really functional. The leak proof bra does not disappoint and has been something that has obviously got a lottttt of use. So happy with it and would definitely recommend. I got a gift card for valentine’s day from Otis for Knix so can’t wait to get something else soon!

Other items we’ve used/loved ; zipper sleepers, aveeno lavender cream, wet dry bags, muslin blankies, desitin diaper cream, pampers swaddlers & wipes, sanitzer pumps for around the house, diaper change mats, hands free pumping bra, tommy tippee soothers and bottles, baby d drops, mini light up cloud, fisher price bassinet, ergo baby carrier, whale bath tub, baby herschel toque, diaper genie, medela breast pump.

Great things for mama; a really good reusable water bottle + coffee cup (i got these CUTE AF ones from porter!), essie sparkle nail polish (it stays on for so long!), anything to do with coffee (lol), lots of snacks like nuts, granola bars, cheese, fruit, veggies.

Also, I’ve been loving the starbucks app because I can get in and out so quick with the bubs and also collect stars to get money off my next purchase :)

Ok, I think that’s all I’ve got for now but I am excited to share more on parenthood/life with a baby!
